Hello lovely reader!
I picked up some very cheap but very impressive make up brushes recently from H&M of all places and I'm that impressed I wanted to share them with you!
My collection of make up brushes is made up of the Real Techniques core collection and starter set but I have still been searching for a good foundation brush. I'm really not a fan of the flat paint brush style of foundation brushes as i don't think they are that easy to apply foundation and there not easy to blend. I've been after one which you can buff with and there are so many on the market with varying price ranges! I couldn't quite justify spending £30 on a brush and when I went into H&M I stumbled across there BB cream foundation brush for £6.99 and I picked up a simple eyeshadow brush for about £1.49! Amazing prices but what's the verdict?
The eye shadow brush is a really simple but soft brush, it blends nicely and does just the job you want it to do. I love the eye shadow brush in the Real Techniques starter collection but I tend to use it more to apply eyeshadow in the crease as it works a real treat so with this brush I was after something to apply shadow over the lid and this is perfect. I'm not a fan of the disposable foam applicators at all, I think sometimes they can be a bit rough on the delicate eyelids and they don't allow you to play with the eyeshadow and blend to your hearts content. This cheap and cheerful brush is around about the same price if not cheaper than some packs of foam applicators but does a far better job.

I'm fairly new into using a brush to apply foundation and now I can't imagine doing it any other way! I feel like saying to myself "what the hell have you been playing at all this time!?" I'd looked at the other brushes such as the Bobby Brown brush which I have seen other bloggers such as Lily Pebbles really rave about and her make up always looks so effortless and really subtle so she knows her brushes! I love her blog and her YouTube channel so if you haven't checked it out you need to! For me though, I didn't really want to spend the £30 price tag and I just wanted to get to grips with techniques first. So if your in a similar brush boat to moi then definitely give this one a go! For the price you can't go wrong.
I'm so impressed with the likes of H&M and Topshop, their beauty game is really high at the moment and they are really offering consumers some unexpected little gems!
