With the weather showing definite signs of perking up for Spring, I decided my lipstick wardrobe needed a bit on an refresh to reflect the season. I used to be a full time lip gloss wearer but as I've got older I've been swayed over to the stick side more and my recent additions are high street gems from L'Oreal.
I wanted to get staple shades that would be easy to wear and give me different looks so I opted for three L'Oreal Colour Riche lipsticks. One in a pale pink shade, one a raspberry shade and one coral colour. I've had a few of these lipsticks in the past and there are lovely and moisturising, they have great colour pigments and they have real staying power too without breaking the bank.
My pale pink shade is number 136 Flamingo Elegance. I really like this colour, it's a very pretty and girly and a great 'goes with anything' shade. Perfect for those who aren't overly daring with their lip shade but who want to have a little something Spring like.
I do love a raspberry lip! This one is number 370 Crazy Fuchsia and is much more daring than the pale pink but a perfect Spring/Summer statement lip shade. It's a very playful, vibrant colour amazing for sunny days and holidays I think this will look gorgeous with a subtle tan.
My final lipstick I picked up was number 371 Pink Passion which I think looks more coral than the name suggests. I love everything coral, it's my favourite colour for many things. I love coral coloured clothing, nail varnishes and of course lip shades! Being a brunette I feel like this colour really suits me (I could be wrong but hey I like it!) It is such a great shade for this time of year another perfect holiday must-have.
I absolutely love my updated lip wardrobe! It's so easy to end up with a million different lipsticks, where some are so similar in shade it's hard to tell them apart. I tried to keep it simple on this shopping trip, opting for three different, key seasonal colours that I can wear throughout Spring and into Summer and that I can create fun looks with.
What do you think of these colours? Have you found any seasonal must-haves? Comment below!
Until next time, Steph :)
